A downloadable game for Windows

Below Their Sight is a first-person solo exploration narrative game, taking place in a post-apocalyptic city, where an unknown cataclysm remains to be solved: the appearance of cryptic entities in your world.

You play as Serena, a lone survivor with a scientific background in microbiology. She has no military training whatsoever, hence her “weapons” will be researching and understanding this phenomenon to try to go back to how things were.

But the main risks the players will come across are going to be the entities. Their primal behaviours will follow a rhythmic, systemic, and looped pattern; they pose a threat due to their size and the randomness of their routine at first glance.

To overcome those troublesome encounters, Serena will log her discoveries in a notebook, which she will then transpose into map information as a complement to the planning mechanics and understanding of the lore.

Context

Below Their Sights is a student project as part of our second year of a master's degree. The objective was to create a vertical slice (or proof of concept) in 4 months.

This is a prototype—a demo of what the game could become. You may encounter bugs, missing content, or placeholder elements.

The game is thought to be played with a controller, but can also be played with a keyboard and mouse.
